What is the admission process at helvorens?
We begin with a short conversation — either by phone or in person — to understand the prospective resident's background and current situation. A care assessment follows, conducted by our nursing coordinator. We then discuss the most fitting care level together with the family before any arrangements are made.
Can residents bring their own furniture and personal items?
Yes. We encourage residents to personalise their space with meaningful objects, photographs, books, and smaller furniture pieces. A familiar environment contributes to a sense of ease and continuity. Our team will help coordinate the move-in arrangements.
How do you handle medical emergencies?
We maintain clear emergency protocols and have nursing staff available around the clock for nursing-level residents. We have established relationships with nearby hospitals and specialist clinics. In any emergency, we notify the family immediately and coordinate all medical steps on your behalf.
How often can family members visit?
Family visits are warmly welcomed and there is no limit on frequency. We simply ask that visits are arranged in advance so that we can prepare the space and ensure the resident's schedule is not disrupted. Families are considered part of our community.
What is included in the monthly fees?
The monthly rate covers accommodation, all meals, care services appropriate to the selected tier, regular housekeeping, activity programmes, and family communication. Certain specialist consultations, medications, and external medical procedures are billed separately — we are always transparent about this before any charges arise.
Is the care team able to communicate in English?
Yes. Our care coordinators, nurses, and administrative staff are all comfortable communicating in English. All written care summaries and family updates are provided in English as standard.
